Windows Vista and Windows 7 use of security measure setting called User Account Control. With different levels of permissions, it can cause problems when trying to run software applications as a “user” instead of an “administrator”. In order to resolve this issue easily do the following steps: 1. Simply right-click on the application icon and select Run as Administrator. Most the time, this will solve the problem. 2. Turn of UAC (User Account Control) Open up Control Panel, and type “UAC” (without quotes) into the search box. Click the link for “Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off”. On the next screen, uncheck the box “Use User Account Control (UAC)”, and click OK. This process is for Windows Vista and it’s slightly easier in Windows 7.
